APP Year Round ‘One on One’ Two Day Workshop: Making Collodio-Chloride Printing-Out Paper (Aristotype) with a manufacturer Victor Petryakov.
Location: 2 Abbott Avenue, Earlville, Central New York State. Four hour drive from George Washington bridge, forty five minutes from Syracuse, thirty minutes from Utica, five miles from Colgate University in Hamilton, fifteen miles from Norwich on the premises of a converted church (formerly Assemblies of God Church, presently named The Charterhouse of Earlville), on the edge of the village with pastoral views of fields and hills.
Flexible schedules, ‘one on one’ sessions, private sleeping accommodations for two or three nights and a kitchen, pick up and departure at Syracuse airport.
A student will learn how make collodio-chloride emulsion, how to prepare and coat a baryta base (standard) and art papers, to adjust emulsion to existing negatives, to expose, process, tone, fix and dry the prints. Students are encouraged to bring their negatives.
